Back in 2016 I had the idea to start an agressive kombucha company based on a Mortal Kombat joke. It actually was just a pun and a website, not a company at all. But then people started buying it, so I had to figure out how to make kombucha. Now we have grown beyond kombucha with a line of sport nutrition products, leading with Mortal Hydration.

Mortal was/is my baby. I did everything from creative, design and writing to freight logistics, demos and sales meetings. The thing I admittedly did not do was the accounting. Thank you to those who handle my Quickbooks. Mortal is where every creative part of me exploded onto paper, bottle and social media post and power point presentation. Below is just a little glimpse of what we made in 10 years. And huge thanks to Illustrator Dan Evans who brought my many cartoon 90’s dreams to life.


THE PRODUCT LINES

Now discontinued (you can google to see why), Mortal Kombucha was available in over 3500 stores nationwide. Mortal Hydration launched in 2024 and became the official hydration sponsor of IRONMAN in 2024 and 2025.
